PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL-QATAR

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

academics

The school is both mandated by the Department of Education (DepEd) of Republic of the Philippines and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) of State of Qatar with their academic standards and procedures. The PISQ is now under the Enhanced K–12 Basic Education Program, which covers kindergarten and 12 years of basic education that will produce productive and responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies and skills for both life–long learning, employment and entrepreneurship.

K-12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM

The K to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship.

DEPARTMENTS

Students at PISQ are organized into five departments: Preschool, Primary, Intermediate, Junior High School, and Senior High School. These groupings allow for small, close-knit, and nurturing environments able to serve the needs and interests of all students. Each department provides students with a comfortable, supportive atmosphere that is conducive for learners to learn and thrive. The five departments often work together in all-school assemblies and school-wide projects.
