ABOUT US
The Ilustrados (Spanish: [ilusˈtɾaðos], “erudite”, “learned” or “enlightened ones”) constituted the Filipino educated class during the Spanish colonial period in the late 19th century. Elsewhere in New Spain (of which the Philippines were part), the term gente de razón carried a similar meaning.
The name ‘ILUSTRADO’ was chosen by the creator to signify the Filipino youth of PISQ who are currently pursuing their studies abroad and to describe the pursuits of its writers; to illustrate the learning and developing school community. Just like the original Ilustrados, the school paper aims to enlighten not just the youth, but the the entire PISQ community.
Since the creation of this organization in 2019, The Ilustrado has been continuously dedicated in serving the PISQ community by informing them about the current news and the latest updates about this institution.
