With the aim to cultivate the love for reading, PISQ launched the School Book Fair 2023 last April 2, 2023 with the theme “Bloom your minds through Reading!”
The launching was attended by Mr. Jason A. Iyas, the PISQ admin and staff, librarians – Ms. Jehn and Ms. Anna, and the Crescent Bookshop representative. It was also graced by the presence of Dr. Jerome T. Buenviaje, Dean of College of Education of the University of the Philippines- Diliman.
With a rich assortment of activities, and an extensive collection of books, the Book Fair was an enriching experience that encouraged intellectual growth and celebrated the wonders of literature.
The book fair ran for the whole week, April 2-6, 2023. Each class from KG1 to Grade 12 visited the NKP Hall in their designated schedules throughout the week.
In the hall, students, parents, and faculty members were treated to an array of literary delights, from captivating fiction books, child-friendly reference books to interactive puzzle books. The fair provided a platform for individuals of all ages to immerse themselves in the world of books, fostering a deep appreciation for the written word.
This year’s Book Fair extended beyond the event itself. By fostering a love for reading, the fair encouraged students to embrace literature as a lifelong companion and a source of knowledge and inspiration. Teachers and librarians found new educational resources and fresh teaching approaches that would continue to benefit students long after the fair concluded.
