Doha, Qatar – In a significant initiative prioritizing educator well-being, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) partnered with the Philippine International School-Qatar’s (PISQ) First Aid Unit (FAU) to conduct a comprehensive health screening campaign. Held over two days (March 5th-6th) at the PISQ campus, the campaign focused on early detection of chronic disease risk factors among faculty and staff.

Early Detection Takes Center Stage

Participants received vital health assessments, including Ht and Wt BMI, Blood pressure, Glucose test and A1C test, and Lipid profile test. MOPH’s meticulous planning ensured a smooth operation, with equipment set up beforehand and participants advised to fast for 12 hours prior to the screenings.

Overwhelming Community Support

The PISQ community responded enthusiastically, with an impressive 135 staff members actively participating in the screenings. The FAU’s dedication was instrumental to the event’s success, with nurses and administrative staff managing registrations, crowd control, and logistics flawlessly.

Collaboration for a Healthier Future

The spirit of collaboration transcended the screenings themselves. MOPH and PISQ representatives worked diligently to document the event, highlighting the importance of partnerships in fostering a culture of health and wellness within schools.

Positive Feedback Reinforces Importance

Feedback from participants overwhelmingly indicated the campaign’s success, underscoring the value of health awareness and preventive care programs in school settings. Faculty and staff received certificates of participation in recognition of their proactive approach to personal well-being, along with gifts and tokens of appreciation from the MOPH.

Mutual Appreciation Caps Successful Partnership

In a heartwarming gesture, MOPH staff members were presented with certificates of appreciation by PISQ, solidifying the mutual respect and admiration between the two entities. This exemplary partnership between MOPH and PISQ FAU serves as a powerful testament to the positive impact collaborative efforts can have on the health and well-being of educational communities.
