DOHA, QATAR – The Philippine International School – Qatar (PISQ) has taken a major step forward in its mission to provide top-tier education and internationally recognized qualifications. On March 10th, PISQ signed a landmark agreement with the British Council, officially becoming a designated IELTS Registration Center.

This strategic partnership signifies PISQ’s unwavering commitment to equipping its students with the tools they need to succeed on a global scale. The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a widely accepted English proficiency test required for admission to many universities and institutions worldwide. By offering IELTS registration on-site, PISQ is streamlining the application process for its students and the wider community seeking educational opportunities abroad.

The signing ceremony, held at the British Council center in Al Sadd, Doha, was a momentous occasion. Mr. Jason Iyas, Principal of PISQ, and Dr. Waseem Kotoub, Country Director of the British Council, solidified the partnership through their signatures. The presence of key personnel from both institutions, including Mr. Nimrod Dsilva, Mr. Vishal Soraisam, Mr. Mohammed Hammamy, Ms. Charinette Carreon, and Ms. Rachel Babiano, underscored the importance of this collaboration.

Further solidifying their dedication to providing exceptional service, PISQ staff actively participated in a comprehensive IELTS Registration Portal System training session held by the British Council on March 17th. This training equips PISQ to flawlessly manage the registration process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all test-takers.

With this strategic partnership, PISQ reaffirms its position as a leader in providing quality education and internationally recognized qualifications in Qatar. The addition of IELTS registration services demonstrates the school’s commitment to empowering its students to achieve their academic aspirations on a global stage.
